Do you need a Door Linking your Home and Conservatory?26/06/2014
Over the years our team of installers have fielded many questions from customers, but one myth that commonly crops up is that homeowners need to have an exterior door linking a conservatory with the rest of their home in order to comply with building regulations.
Well to put this myth to bed, we can say that it is simply not true. The truth is that as long as you are compliant with Part L of the building regulations, it doesn’t what type of door you put in place. You may choose to have no door at all which, as long as you are compliant with the regulations, is absolutely fine as well.
For security and insulation reasons it can be beneficial to have a door in place; though the insulation qualities of new conservatories mean that this is becoming less of an issue.
