Heat Reflective Glass: Helping Keep You Warm and Cool19/05/2014
With temperatures having pushed 25 degrees this weekend, many of you will have swung open the doors and windows in an attempt to keep your homes cool. If your conservatory is several years old you may have found it difficult to stop it becoming uncomfortably warm.
In the past, traditional plastic polycarbonate roofs offered very little protection from natural sunlight; absorbing heat from the sun which made conservatories extremely hot, uncomfortable and bright to enjoy during the summer. In addition the loss of heat during the winter months made them particularly cold.
Our conservatories feature heat reflective glass, or energy efficient glass as it is also known. Featuring a special metallic coating it reduces the amount heat lost from your conservatory during the winter, while minimising glare and stopping it from getting too warm during the summer.
