Is Your Conservatory Ready For Spring?

Spring time is on its way and we are looking forward to the nights gradually getting a little bit lighter, as well as enjoying some beautiful sunshine at last. Conservatories are mainly used within the spring and summer months, so during winter a conservatory can sometimes be neglected and it sees little upkeep and maintenance. If you haven't got your conservatory ready for spring yet, then now is the time to give it a good old fashioned spring clean.

We have some useful tips and advice on how to get your conservatory back on its feet again and looking as good as new.

Clean and maintain your conservatory

Keeping your conservatory in tip top condition means you need to give it a good clean maybe once or twice a year. There are several important things to look out for during your conservatory maintenance, including:

  • Check if there's any debris clogged up in your guttering
  • Wiping down the outer and inner windows to prevent damp and mildew build up
  • Everything inside should be polished, including glass and metal
  • Vacuum and treat the inside floor

Invest in some blinds

Although we love the warm spring and summer months, conservatories can sometimes get a little bit too warm for our liking, so investing in some blinds, especially ones that give you a 'cool in the summer, warm in the winter' temperature, would be ideal. There are hundreds of excellent blind companies online or on the high street that can offer a wide range of different designs and colours for you to choose from. This weekend, treat your conservatory to a fresh new look.

Your conservatory is a lovely addition to your home, so why not give it a new lease of life this spring and redecorate it? There are so many interior design trends at the moment as well as the classic and traditional décor. Whatever you decide, you can always match your interior to the new blinds you buy or vice versa.

We hope this blog post has given you some inspiration to clean your beloved conservatory. If you would like any advice on conservatories, orangeries or any of our other products, give us a call on 01953 600505.
