Inspiring Conservatory Ideas from Ideal Home

26/07/2017

Lifestyle publication Ideal Home Magazine is one of the UK’s best-selling magazines and has been in print circulation since 1920. Both the print edition and the website are packed full of beautiful homes, inspiring interior designs and exciting written features. Perhaps you already own a conservatory and are looking to update your interior design. Or you might be planning to have a conservatory installed and would like some inspiration. If so, Ideal Home has some excellent interior style tips. We’ve picked a couple of the most beautiful ideas to share with you in this week’s blog.

Swing into Summer

There’s something extraordinarily fun as well as stylish about an indoor swing seat. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this playful furniture which really combines the outdoors-indoors feel. Bringing the outdoors indoors is what conservatories are all about and Ideal Home suggests exaggerating the outdoor element that this swing seat brings. Even if you don’t want to go all out with a swing seat, a meadow-inspired colour theme and furnishings are still achievable. For your colour palette, opt for cornflower blue, haystack yellow and orchard green when choosing your cushions, throws and tablecloths.

From Britain to Brittany

The French country cottage is an instantly recognisable yet simple style. White walls and matching white furniture have a super simple clean appeal. This might feel a little cold if it wasn’t boosted by small touches of colour. The blue cushions and the floral centrepiece add to the French country aesthetic and bring white walls to life.  We love how the designers have included this retro French street sign from Brittany. If this idea appeals, try visiting an antique shop where you are likely to find similar (although possibly more local) vintage pieces to inspire your own country cottage conservatory design.
