Installation of the Month: Hipped Back Edwardian Conservatory in Watton15/04/2016
Spring is flying by here at Conservatories Etc and this month we had the pleasure of building a conservatory for Mr and Mrs Parish in Watton just in time for the warmer weather.
Mr Parish worked in the conservatory industry for many years, so we knew he’d be expecting the very best. Our team didn’t let us down, and we built a beautiful hipped back Edwardian conservatory that makes a wonderful addition to his home.
The dwarf walls of the conservatory are 750mm high, built using bricks that match the house, while two brick colours were used in the side pillars to tie the design in seamlessly.
The roof is made with Activ-blue glass, the latest in glazing technology. Activ-blue glass is self-cleaning, reacting with sunlight to prevent dirt from sticking to the panes and using rainwater to clean itself. It’s hydrophilic, meaning rainwater doesn’t form into droplets but spreads out evenly across the surface. The blue colour of the glass prevents the conservatory from overheating during the summer, while letting all the sunlight in.
Chrome fixtures and a beautiful tiled floor finish the conservatory, giving it a clean and contemporary look perfect for a modern home.
Mr and Mrs Parish are thoroughly enjoying their new conservatory:
“We would like to pass on to Jon our thanks for all the works completed. We are very pleased and would have no hesitation in recommending Conservatories Etc. You really have a great team and we were kept up to date throughout which makes a big difference to any project.”
