Our Conservatory Build Process27/04/2018
Building a conservatory is skilled work. After 10 years in the industry and the installation of hundreds of conservatories, we have perfected our own installation process. The process needs to be precise. In this blog, we will be talking about our conservatory installation process in greater detail.
- Step 1 – Laying the Foundations. The first step of most construction jobs is laying strong and reliable foundations. We create a solid base from concrete with deep footings and a damp-proof membrane. Creating the right foundations is the most important step in the installation process.
- Step 2 – Building the Walls. The next step in the process is installing the walls of the conservatory. We construct dwarf walls and these are designed to match the exterior of your home. The walls bear the weight of the glass structure of the conservatory windows and are fully insulated.
- Step 3 – Glazing the Roof. Installing your conservatory’s roof is the next step in our process. We install ridge and glazing bars which form the framework of the roof. Next, we glaze the roof and each glass panel is locked into place.
- Step 4 – Finishing Touches. Finally, we must make the finishing touches to your conservatory before it is completed. We have a team of builders, fitters, plasterers and electricians who complete this stage. The walls of the conservatory are plastered, lights and sockets are installed then wired up and the heaters are also installed at this stage.
